2024 Inter Miami CF season

During their fifth season in 2024, Inter Miami CF achieved a historic regular season, winning the Supporters' Shield with a league-record 74 points. Led by Lionel Messi, who captured the Landon Donovan MVP Award after scoring 20 goals and recording 36 total goal contributions, the team dominated the Eastern Conference. Off the pitch, the club rebranded their home venue as Chase Stadium after JPMorgan Chase acquired the naming rights, and they played preseason friendlies in El Salvador, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, and Japan. Despite their record-breaking form, the team suffered a shocking first-round playoff exit, being eliminated by ninth-seeded Atlanta United FC in a series that featured the largest points difference between playoff opponents in MLS history. In addition to league play, Miami competed in the CONCACAF Champions Cup for the first time and defended their title in the Leagues Cup, while skipping the U.S. Open Cup due to their Champions Cup obligations.
