Alecia "Sug" Sutton (born December 17, 1998, in St. Louis, Missouri) is a professional basketball player currently signed with the Dallas Wings in the WNBA, after starring collegiately at the University of Texas. Drafted 36th overall by the Washington Mystics in the 2020 WNBA draft, her early career included brief stints and a debut in August 2020. She found her stride with the Phoenix Mercury in 2023, making history on September 8, 2023, by recording the first triple-double in franchise history with 18 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists against the Las Vegas Aces. After a trade back to the Mystics in 2024 and a selection by the Portland Fire in the 2026 expansion draft (where she was later waived), she signed a rest-of-season contract with the Dallas Wings in June 2026. Beyond the WNBA, she was drafted by Rose BC for the 2026 Unrivaled season. Off the court, she earned the nickname "Sug," short for "Sugar," from her father and grandfather, and majored in health promotion and behavioral sciences while at Texas.
