Puka Nacua (born May 29, 2001, in Las Vegas) is an American football wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams, who earned the nickname "Puka" (meaning "fat and chubby" in Samoan) due to his size as a baby. He set Utah state high school records for career receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns before playing college football at Washington and BYU, where he showcased his versatility with both receiving and rushing scores. Selected in the fifth round (177th overall) of the 2023 NFL Draft, Nacua exploded onto the scene as a rookie, breaking the NFL rookie records for both receptions and receiving yards. He also set the single-game rookie catch record with 15 receptions and the record for most catches in a player's first two games (25). His phenomenal debut season earned him Pro Bowl and second-team All-Pro honors, cementing his status as one of the league's most exciting young playmakers.
