Bryce Underwood (born in 2007 in Detroit) is a standout quarterback who dominated at Belleville High School before joining the Michigan Wolverines. As a five-star recruit and the consensus No. 1 overall player in the 2025 class, he set multiple Michigan state records, finishing his high school career with a 50-4 record, two state championships, and staggering totals of 12,919 all-purpose yards and 179 touchdowns. His stellar play earned him numerous accolades, including the 2024 Michigan Mr. Football Award and multiple Gatorade Player of the Year honors. While he initially committed to LSU in January 2024, he flipped his commitment to the in-state Michigan Wolverines in November 2024, officially signing in December to play for head coach Sherrone Moore. His recruitment was one of the biggest stories of the cycle, giving Michigan the top-ranked prospect while keeping the hometown star close to home.
