The Australasian Journal of Educational Technology (AJET) is a leading peer-reviewed academic journal dedicated to research in educational technology, instructional design, and online learning. Established in 1985 as the Australian Journal of Educational Technology by ASET, it adopted its current, more inclusive "Australasian" title in 2004 to align with its main sponsor, the Australasian Society for Computers in Learning in Tertiary Education (ASCILITE).
Published online-only by ASCILITE with eight issues annually, AJET operates on an open-access model, ensuring all its extensive archives dating back to 1985 are freely accessible to readers. The journal significantly expanded its reach and content through important mergers, incorporating the International Journal of Educational Technology in 2007 and the Journal of Instructional Science and Technology in 2008, further enriching its valuable collection of research.
