Tommy Paul (tennis)

Tommy Paul (born May 17, 1997) is an American professional tennis player who reached a career-high world No. 8 ranking in singles in June 2025 and is currently the No. 5 American player. He has won five ATP Tour singles titles and made a major breakthrough by reaching the semifinals of the 2023 Australian Open. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, he partnered with Taylor Fritz to capture a bronze medal in men's doubles. A standout junior, Paul won the 2015 French Open boys' singles title—becoming the first American boy to do so since John McEnroe in 1977—and also reached the US Open junior final that year. Turning pro in 2015, he steadily climbed the ranks, breaking into the top 100 in 2019 and securing his first ATP title in 2021.
