Dontae Johnson (born December 1, 1991) is a former American professional football cornerback who played in the NFL for eight seasons. After a standout college career at NC State, where he earned ACC Defensive Back of the Week honors and played in the 2014 Senior Bowl, he was selected by the San Francisco 49ers in the fourth round (129th overall) of the 2014 NFL Draft. In his rookie season, he made an immediate impact by recording his first career interception and returning it 20 yards for a touchdown against the St. Louis Rams, finishing the year with 34 tackles and six pass deflections. Over his career, he also played for the Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills, Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, and Los Angeles Chargers, consistently serving as a reliable depth player and occasional starter. Known for his versatility and durability, he appeared in over 100 regular-season games before retiring from professional football.
