CBS Sports has become a major broadcaster of global soccer, airing matches across its main network, CBS Sports Network, and the streaming service Paramount+ (formerly CBS All Access). In November 2019, CBS acquired the rights to UEFA club competitions (Champions League, Europa League, and Super Cup) starting in 2021-22, replacing Turner Sports—and even began early coverage in August 2020 after Turner dropped out due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the deal later extended through 2030. The UEFA package is centered on Paramount+, which streams all matches live, while CBS Sports Network features The Golazo Show, a "whiparound" program highlighting goals from across the matchday. CBS also holds rights to the National Women's Soccer League (starting in March 2020, with a new multi-year deal in November 2023), Serie A (2021-24, replacing ESPN), and competitions from CONCACAF, Brazil, Argentina, and the Asian Football Confederation—most of which are streamed on Paramount+. This strategy has made Paramount+ a central hub for international soccer in the United States, offering hundreds of matches annually from top leagues and tournaments.
