Mike Moustakas (born September 11, 1988), nicknamed "Moose," was an American professional baseball third baseman who played in MLB for the Kansas City Royals, Milwaukee Brewers, Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies, and Los Angeles Angels. A standout at Chatsworth High School in California, he set a state record with 52 career home runs and was named Baseball America's High School Player of the Year in 2007, despite a broken ankle that nearly ended his career. Drafted second overall by the Royals in 2007, he signed for a $4 million bonus and later earned minor league honors like the Texas League Player of the Year and the Joe Bauman Home Run Award in 2010.
