Georges Mikautadze (born 31 October 2000) is a French-born Georgian forward who currently plays for La Liga club Villarreal and the Georgia national team. After starting at Lyon's academy, he made his professional debut for Metz in 2019 before exploding onto the scene during two loan spells at Belgian club Seraing, where he scored 19 goals in his first season and earned the fan-voted "Métallo d'Or" award. Returning to Metz in 2022, he became the Ligue 2 top scorer and best player, helping the club earn promotion to Ligue 1. A €16 million move to Ajax in August 2023 proved disastrous, as he failed to score in nine appearances, prompting a loan return to Metz in January 2024. Back at Metz, he rediscovered his form, netting 13 goals in 20 matches—including a memorable lob over Steve Mandanda—though his efforts couldn't prevent the team's relegation. His remarkable second-half resurgence solidified his reputation as a clinical striker, leading to his current move to Villarreal.
