Jaylon Johnson (born April 19, 1999) is a professional cornerback for the Chicago Bears, having played college football at the University of Utah where he earned First-team All-Pac-12 honors in 2019. He was selected by the Bears in the second round (50th overall) of the 2020 NFL Draft and immediately won a starting job, finishing his rookie season with 44 tackles and 15 passes defended. In 2021, after veteran Kyle Fuller was released, Johnson stepped up as the team's No. 1 cornerback, snagging his first career interception against Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. Through the first two weeks of that 2021 season, he boasted the highest pass-coverage grade in the entire NFL, allowing only a single reception. His standout season also included a forced fumble on Thanksgiving against the Lions, though he briefly missed time later due to a COVID-19 protocol.
