Street Fighter is an upcoming American action comedy directed by Kitao Sakurai, centering on Chun-Li recruiting fighters Ryu and Ken to enter a martial arts tournament and confront the villainous M. Bison. Serving as the third live-action adaptation of the Capcom video game franchise, the film features a massive ensemble cast, including Noah Centineo, Andrew Koji, Callina Liang (as Chun-Li), Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, David Dastmalchian (as M. Bison), 50 Cent, and Jason Momoa. Following Legendary Entertainment's acquisition of the franchise rights in April 2023, the project underwent director changes—dropping the Philippou brothers in June 2024 before Sakurai signed on in February 2025—and principal photography took place in Australia from August to November 2025. The film is scheduled for release in the United States by Paramount Pictures on October 16, 2026, in IMAX, after shifting from an earlier March 2026 date at Sony due to Legendary's distribution deal expiring. To appeal to dedicated fans, the movie will also feature cameos from prominent fighting game players and streamers, such as Justin Wong, Maximilian Dood, and LazarBeam.
