Victor Oladipo (born May 4, 1992) is an American professional basketball player who rose to stardom at Indiana University, where he was named the Sporting News Player of the Year and won the Adolph Rupp Trophy during the 2012–13 season. Drafted second overall by the Orlando Magic in 2013, he later played for the Oklahoma City Thunder before joining the Indiana Pacers in 2017, where he had a breakout year—becoming an NBA All-Star, leading the league in steals, and winning the NBA Most Improved Player Award. After a season-ending injury in January 2019, he was traded to the Houston Rockets in January 2021 and then to the Miami Heat two months later, undergoing another season-ending surgery before returning to play in March 2022. Born in Silver Spring, Maryland, to Nigerian immigrant parents, he played high school basketball at DeMatha High School before choosing Indiana over other offers. Beyond basketball, Oladipo is also a singer, releasing the EP Songs for You in 2017, the album V.O. in 2018, and an afrobeats-inspired EP TUNDE in 2023.
