Mark Pulisic (born September 20, 1968) is an American former soccer player and coach, best known as the father of AC Milan and U.S. men's national team star Christian Pulisic. As a player, he spent his entire professional career with the Harrisburg Heat of the NPSL (1991–1999) after starring at George Mason University, where he scored 35 goals and was later inducted into the school's Hall of Fame in 2012. Transitioning to coaching, he led Lebanon Valley College's men's and women's programs (1993–2005) before taking charge of the Detroit Ignition, for which he earned the MISL Coach of the Year award in 2007. Following his son's signing with Borussia Dortmund in 2015, Pulisic moved to Germany to coach the club's U10 academy team, later returning to the U.S. to serve as an assistant coach for the Rochester Rhinos. His family heritage is notably multicultural, with his father hailing from the Croatian island of Olib and his paternal grandmother of Sicilian descent, a background reflected in his famous son's international appeal.
