Walter Rouse (born March 9, 2001) is an American professional football offensive guard who currently plays for the New England Patriots, though he was originally drafted by the Minnesota Vikings. He had a standout college career at Stanford, starting 39 of 40 games across four seasons and earning honorable mention All-Pac-12 honors in 2022. After transferring to Oklahoma for the 2023 season, he started all 12 games, received Big-12 honorable mention recognition, and then declared for the 2024 NFL draft. The Vikings selected him in the sixth round (177th overall) of that draft. A notable personal detail is that Rouse is the grandson of Vic Rouse, the basketball player famous for hitting the game-winning shot in the 1963 NCAA championship game. His consistent performance across two major college programs highlights his durability and skill, making him a promising addition to the NFL.
