Quinn Ewers (born March 15, 2003) is an American professional football quarterback currently on the Jacksonville Jaguars roster, though he was drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the 7th round (231st pick) of the 2025 NFL draft. A standout at Carroll Senior High School in Texas, he was the top overall recruit in the 2022 class, initially committing to Texas before playing at Ohio State and then transferring back to Texas, where he set a Big 12 Championship record for passing yards and finished his college career with 9,128 yards and 68 touchdowns. In the NFL, he made his debut in Week 7 against the Cleveland Browns, and after Tua Tagovailoa was benched for the rest of the season in Week 15, Ewers was named the starting quarterback, recording his first career touchdown in Week 17 on a 63-yard pass to Theo Wease Jr. Off the field, Ewers made history as the first amateur athlete to sign a name, image, and likeness (NIL) deal worth over $1 million, and he was also a cover athlete for EA Sports College Football 25. Born in San Antonio, Texas, he moved to Southlake at age eight and was offered a college scholarship as early as sixth grade.
