Shaquan Montez Sweat is a prominent American professional football defensive end, currently playing for the Chicago Bears. After a high school career as a top defensive recruit, he excelled in college at Mississippi State, earning All-SEC and All-American honors with impressive sack totals (10.5 in 2017, 12 in 2018).

At the 2019 NFL Combine, Sweat set a defensive lineman record with a 4.41-second 40-yard dash, overcoming an initial, later disproven, heart condition misdiagnosis. He was then a first-round pick by the Washington Redskins in the 2019 NFL Draft, where he made significant plays, including an interception for a touchdown in 2020. In a notable mid-season trade in October 2023, Sweat joined the Chicago Bears and quickly made an impact, earning his first Pro Bowl selection that same season.
