Fulham Football Club, founded in 1879, stands as West London's oldest professional football club, having played at the iconic Craven Cottage since 1896 and currently competing in the Premier League. After achieving two Southern League titles in 1905–06 and 1906–07, they joined the Football League in 1907 and enjoyed several promotions, notably winning the Second Division in 1948–49. The club reached the 1974–75 FA Cup final and, after a period of fluctuating fortunes, experienced a major revival under Mohamed Al-Fayed's ownership from 1997, ascending to the Premier League by 2001.

This modern era brought a UEFA Intertoto Cup win in 2002 and a memorable run to the UEFA Europa League final in 2010. Under current owner Shahid Khan, Fulham has become known as a "yo-yo" club, frequently moving between the Premier League and the EFL Championship. However, since winning the 2021–22 EFL Championship title, they have successfully established their place back in England's top flight.
