Jesús David Ferreira Castro, born December 24, 2000, is a professional forward who represents the United States national team, having moved from Colombia. He began his career at FC Dallas, making his professional debut and scoring his first goal in June 2017, later becoming a designated player for the club in January 2022. Ferreira had a breakout 2022 season, netting 18 goals in 35 matches for FC Dallas, and made his senior U.S. national team debut in February 2020.
Notably, a reported $13 million transfer offer for him from Russian club FC Spartak Moscow in January 2024 was allegedly halted by Major League Soccer due to geopolitical reasons. After eight seasons with FC Dallas, scoring 55 goals, Ferreira was traded to Seattle Sounders FC in January 2025. He scored his first goal for the Sounders in May 2025, few days after his daughter was born.
