Anthony Benjamin Kay, born in 1995, is an American professional baseball pitcher currently playing for the Yokohama DeNA BayStars in Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), following a career in Major League Baseball (MLB). Drafted by the New York Mets in the first round (31st overall) of the 2016 MLB Draft, Kay faced an early hurdle with Tommy John surgery in October 2016, delaying his professional debut. He later made his MLB debut with the Toronto Blue Jays in 2019, having been traded there from the Mets as part of a significant deal for star pitcher Marcus Stroman.

Kay also had stints with the Chicago Cubs and a second, brief tenure with the New York Mets, experiencing inconsistent performance and injury challenges throughout his MLB career. In January 2024, he embarked on a new chapter by signing with the Yokohama DeNA BayStars. Kay quickly found success in Japan, notably leading the NPB in ground ball rate in 2025, showcasing his effectiveness overseas.
