Patricia Arquette (born April 8, 1968) is an accomplished American actress widely recognized for her diverse roles and numerous accolades, including an Academy Award, two Primetime Emmy Awards, and three Golden Globe Awards. She made her film debut in 1987's A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors, but it was her role as a single mother in Richard Linklater's Boyhood, famously filmed over 12 years (2002-2014), that earned her an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.

On television, Arquette garnered an Emmy for her lead role in the supernatural drama Medium (2005–2011) and later won Golden Globes and another Emmy for her transformative performances in the miniseries Escape at Dannemora (2018) and The Act (2019). Currently starring in Apple TV+'s acclaimed thriller Severance, Arquette comes from a notable acting family, including siblings Rosanna and David, and surprisingly once aspired to be a midwife before finding success in Hollywood.
