David Hogg: A Voice for Gun Control After Parkland
David Hogg is a prominent American gun control activist who gained national recognition as a student survivor of the tragic February 2018 Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida. Immediately following the event, Hogg emerged as a leading voice in the student-led "Never Again MSD" movement, organizing impactful protests and advocating fiercely for stricter gun control legislation. His powerful activism led to his inclusion in the 2018 TIME 100 list of most influential people, and he co-authored the New York Times Best Seller, "#NeverAgain: A New Generation Draws the Line."
Hogg has remained dedicated to his advocacy, including founding the Leaders We Deserve PAC, while also pursuing his education at Harvard, from which he graduated in May 2023. He is slated to serve as a co-vice chair of the Democratic National Committee from February to June 2025, continuing his influence within the political landscape.
