Sebastian Telfair, born June 9, 1985, is an American former professional basketball player who achieved significant fame during his high school career at Abraham Lincoln in Brooklyn. Despite initially committing to the University of Louisville, a tragic fatal shooting near his family's home prompted him to declare for the NBA draft instead. He was selected 13th overall by the Portland Trail Blazers in the 2004 NBA draft and played for them until 2006.

Telfair later played for the Boston Celtics and was famously included in the major 2007 trade that sent Kevin Garnett to Boston, joining the Minnesota Timberwolves. With the Timberwolves in the 2007–08 season, he had his most productive professional year, averaging 9.3 points and 5.9 assists per game. Telfair is also a cousin of former NBA player Stephon Marbury.
