Haji Amir Wright (born March 27, 1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a forward or winger for EFL Championship club Coventry City and the United States national team. After making his professional debut with the New York Cosmos in 2015, he spent most of his career in Europe, including stints with Schalke 04, VVV-Venlo, SønderjyskE, and Antalyaspor, where he became known for his finishing, heading ability, and quickness. He was named the Danish Superliga Player of the Month in October 2020 after a strong start with SønderjyskE, and later scored a memorable hat-trick for Antalyaspor in August 2021. Wright made his senior US national team debut in 2022, played at the FIFA World Cup that year, and was also part of the squad for the 2026 tournament. In August 2023, he joined Coventry City for a club-record transfer fee of €9 million, scoring his first goal for the club just days after his arrival.
