Lukas Reichel is a German professional ice hockey left winger currently playing for the Vancouver Canucks, having been a first-round pick by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft (17th overall). He honed his skills in Germany's DNL and DEL with Eisbären Berlin before making his NHL debut with the Blackhawks on 13 January 2022, after signing his entry-level contract in June 2021.
Reichel's career saw him oscillate between the Blackhawks and their AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs, where he notably tallied 20 goals and 31 assists in 55 games during the 2022-23 season. Despite facing consistency challenges and a brief reassignment to the AHL in 2024, he was re-signed by Chicago in May 2024 to a two-year, $2.4 million contract. He subsequently achieved NHL career-highs with 8 goals and 14 assists in 70 games during the 2024-25 season. Adding to his hockey pedigree, Reichel is the son of former player Martin Reichel and the nephew of former NHLer and Olympic gold medalist Robert Reichel.
