Brooks Barnhizer is an American professional basketball player currently with the Oklahoma City Thunder on a two-way contract, after a standout collegiate career at Northwestern. He distinguished himself in high school by averaging a state-high 32.7 points per game as a senior before committing to Northwestern as a three-star recruit. At Northwestern, Barnhizer became a pivotal starter, earning third-team All-Big Ten honors and a spot on the All-Defensive Team during his junior season (2023-24), famously scoring the tying layup in an NCAA Tournament win.

Despite his senior season being cut short by a foot injury in January 2025, he achieved a program record of seven consecutive double-doubles and finished his college career with over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 200 assists—a rare feat. His impressive all-around performance and significant contributions ultimately led to his selection by the Oklahoma City Thunder with the 44th overall pick in the 2025 NBA draft.
