Victor James Osimhen, born December 29, 1998, is a Nigerian professional footballer widely regarded as one of the world's best strikers, currently playing for Galatasaray and the Nigeria national team. He began his European career with VfL Wolfsburg in 2017 before making a significant move to Napoli in 2020 for a club-record €80 million. Osimhen was instrumental in Napoli's historic 2022–23 season, where he finished as Serie A's top scorer with 26 goals—a record for an African player—and helped the club win their first Serie A title in 33 years, subsequently earning the Serie A Footballer of the Year award.

He holds the distinction of being the highest-scoring African player in Serie A history and recently enjoyed further success on loan at Galatasaray for the 2024–25 season, where he was the league's top scorer and secured a domestic double. On the international stage, Osimhen won the Golden Boot at the 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup and is Nigeria's second all-time highest goalscorer. His stellar achievements in 2023 saw him become the first Nigerian to rank in the top ten of the Ballon d'Or (8th place) and be named African Footballer of the Year. In May 2023, President Muhammadu Buhari honored him as a Member of the Federal Republic.
