Orlando City Soccer Club is a professional soccer team based in Orlando, Florida, competing in Major League Soccer (MLS) as part of the Eastern Conference. Owned by the Wilf family, the club plays its home games at downtown's Inter.co Stadium and is sister to the Orlando Pride and Orlando City B. Founded in 2010 by Phil Rawlins, the team began in the USL Pro league, where it won three Commissioner's Cups and two championships in its first four seasons, prompting a successful bid to join MLS. Orlando City debuted in MLS in 2015 alongside New York City FC, and since the Wilf family's purchase in 2021, it has qualified twice for the CONCACAF Champions Cup and won the U.S. Open Cup in 2022. Rawlins' early vision for MLS was validated when Commissioner Don Garber said in 2012 that it was "not a matter of if, but when" Orlando would join the top league.
