Christodoulos I. Stefanadis (born 1947) is a Greek professor of cardiology known for his extensive research contributions in cardiovascular medicine.
Biography and Education: A native of Ikaria, Greece, Stefanadis received his medical degree from the University of Athens in 1971. He specialized in cardiology at the university and earned a Ph.D. in 1981. He became a Professor of Cardiology in 2002 and Director of the 1st Department of Cardiology at the University of Athens in 2003. Notably, he is also a member of the Hellenic Parliament representing New Democracy.
Research and Innovations: Stefanadis has focused his research on cardiovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease, mitral valve disease, and aortic elastic properties.
