Harrison Ford

Harrison Ford (born July 13, 1942, in Chicago) is an American acting legend, celebrated as a cinematic cultural icon with nominations for an Academy Award, five Golden Globes, and two Emmys, alongside lifetime honors like the AFI Life Achievement Award and the Cecil B. DeMille Award. He skyrocketed to global fame as Han Solo in Star Wars (1977) and as the titular adventurer in the Indiana Jones franchise (1981–2023), with iconic roles in Blade Runner and as Jack Ryan cementing his status as Hollywood's ultimate action hero. His performance in Witness (1985) earned him his sole Oscar nomination, while hits like The Fugitive (1993) and Air Force One (1997) defined his career, leading to recent work in 1923 and the comedy Shrinking. Beyond acting, Ford is a licensed pilot who has assisted in real-life rescue missions and served as an environmental activist, chairing Conservation International since 1991. Interestingly, his early experience as a Life Scout directly inspired the young Indiana Jones's scout uniform in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989).
