Gilberto Mora

Gilberto Mora (born 14 October 2008) is a Mexican attacking midfielder for Xolos de Tijuana who has rapidly become a record-breaking sensation in world football. He made history in Liga MX by becoming the youngest player ever to score in the top flight at just 15 years old, shortly after debuting with an assist. On the international stage, he debuted for Mexico at the 2025 CONCACAF Gold Cup, becoming the nation's youngest-ever player and helping them win the title, making him the youngest person to lift a senior international trophy. At the 2026 FIFA World Cup, he was the tournament's youngest player, debuting against South Africa and later starting a knockout match—a feat only previously achieved by Pelé. The son of former footballer Gilberto Mora, he balances his meteoric rise with academics, having graduated high school in 2026 and planning to study business administration online.
