Auliʻi Cravalho
Chloe Auliʻi Cravalho (born November 22, 2000) is an American actress and singer who shot to fame as the voice of the title character in Disney's Moana (2016), a role she reprised in the 2024 sequel. Beyond animation, she has starred in live-action projects like the TV series Rise (2018), the Netflix film All Together Now (2020), the sci-fi series The Power (2023), and the 2024 musical adaptation of Mean Girls, as well as stage productions including Evita (2023) and Cabaret (2024). Growing up in Hawaii with her mother on food stamps, Cravalho's life changed dramatically after her casting at age 14; she used her earnings to buy her mother a house. She also voiced the Hawaiian-language dub of Moana (2018) and later voiced the lead in the animated series Hailey's On It! (2023), while also being accepted to Columbia University to study environmental science (though she deferred to focus on acting). Most recently, she serves as an executive producer on the upcoming live-action Moana adaptation, but has chosen not to reprise the titular role, passing the torch to a new actress.
