Wang Film Productions, also known as Cuckoos' Nest Studio, is a pioneering Taiwanese animation studio founded in 1978 by James Chung-Yuan Wang, Hsu Chih-wei, and Lu Kuang-chi. Starting as a subcontractor for American and Japanese studios like Hanna-Barbera (which initially owned half the company), it quickly expanded to produce traditional hand-drawn 2D animation and ink-and-paint for major clients including Disney, Warner Bros., and Universal.

The studio became renowned for its prolific work on iconic series such as Nelvana's Care Bears franchise, Film Roman's Garfield and Friends, Disney's DuckTales, and the Rugrats pilot and first season, also contributing animation assistance for the 1982 film Tron and Peanuts television specials. In the 1990s, facing rising costs, Wang Film Productions strategically adapted by opening a Mainland Chinese subsidiary in 1990, embracing computerization, and planning to develop its own original material. Today, this studio, with offices in Taipei and Los Angeles, remains one of Taiwan's oldest and most prolific animation powerhouses, servicing clients worldwide.
