Angel Reese

Angel Reese (born May 6, 2002) is a professional basketball player for the Atlanta Dream of the WNBA, nicknamed the "Bayou Barbie" for her standout college career. After a decorated high school stint at St. Frances Academy, she transferred from Maryland to LSU, where she led the Tigers to their first national championship in 2023, earned Most Outstanding Player honors, and set the NCAA single-season record for double-doubles. She also captured SEC Player of the Year and unanimous All-American recognition during her college tenure. Drafted 7th overall by the Chicago Sky in 2024, she became a WNBA All-Star in her rookie season and set the league's single-season rebounding record. After earning a second All-Star selection, she was traded to the Atlanta Dream in 2026. On the international stage, she helped the U.S. win a silver medal at the 2023 FIBA AmeriCup.
