Kyle Monangai (born June 6, 2002) is a professional running back for the Chicago Bears, drafted in the seventh round (233rd overall) of the 2025 NFL draft after a standout college career at Rutgers. At Rutgers, he became the first Scarlet Knight since 2012 to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season, finishing 2023 with 1,262 yards and earning second-team All-Big Ten honors. As a rookie, he initially backed up D'Andre Swift, scoring his first NFL touchdown in Week 7 against the Saints, but broke out in Week 9 when he started for an injured Swift, rushing for 176 yards—the second-most ever by a Bears rookie in a single game. After Swift returned, the duo split carries, and in a Week 13 win over the Eagles, they combined for 255 rushing yards, with Monangai contributing 130 yards and a touchdown. This performance made them the first Bears running back duo since Walter Payton and Matt Suhey in 1985 to each rush for at least 100 yards in the same game, solidifying Monangai's status as a promising young playmaker.
