High Potential is an American crime comedy-drama series created by Drew Goddard for ABC, based on the 2021 Franco-Belgian series HPI. The show stars Kaitlin Olson as Morgan Gillory, a single mother of three with an IQ of 160 who works as a police cleaner until her unorthodox brilliance lands her a job as a consultant for the LAPD's Major Crimes Division. There, she partners with the by-the-book Detective Adam Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), and their clashing methods drive the show's humor and tension, while a subplot follows her investigation into the 15-year-old disappearance of her daughter's father. The series premiered on September 17, 2024, and was quickly renewed for a second season, which premiered on September 16, 2025, followed by a third-season renewal in March 2026. The cast also includes Judy Reyes as Lieutenant Selena Soto and Steve Howey as the new captain in season two.
