Aryna Sabalenka is a Belarusian tennis player currently ranked world No. 1 in singles, having won 24 career titles including four Grand Slams—two each at the Australian Open and the US Open. She burst onto the scene in 2017 by leading Belarus to a Fed Cup final, but her breakthrough came in 2023 when she won her first major in Melbourne and rose to the top ranking. In 2024, she defended her Australian Open title and added a third major at the US Open, finishing the year as No. 1. Her dominance continued into 2026, when she completed the Sunshine Double and earned the prestigious Laureus World Sports Award for Sportswoman of the Year. Interestingly, her career began by chance when her father spotted tennis courts while driving, and she also reached world No. 1 in doubles, winning the 2019 US Open and 2021 Australian Open with partner Elise Mertens.
