Known as "The Forest City," it is a global city home to major cultural institutions such as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, the Cleveland Orchestra, and Case Western Reserve University. The city also hosts major league sports teams (Browns, Cavaliers, Guardians) and was incorporated as a village in 1814, with its first permanent settler arriving in 1797.
