Kate Douglass (born November 17, 2001) is a dominant American competitive swimmer who has amassed five Olympic medals (including two golds) and an incredible 34 World Championship medals (16 golds). She holds world records in the short-course 100m freestyle, 200m breaststroke, and 200m individual medley, as well as the long-course 50m freestyle.

During her NCAA career at the University of Virginia (2019–2023), she helped the team win three consecutive national championships and earned the Honda Sports Award as the nation's top female swimmer in both 2022 and 2023. Douglass first made headlines in 2016 as a high school sophomore by breaking Dara Torres' 34-year-old national age group record in the 50-yard freestyle. She truly broke through as an elite talent in her freshman year (2020), setting ACC records and becoming the fastest freshman ever in the 200-yard individual medley. Hailing from Pelham, New York, she has since established herself as one of the most versatile and decorated swimmers of her generation.
