Chen Xukai (born 24 December 1998), known professionally as Skai Isyourgod, is a Chinese rapper from Huizhou, Guangdong, who uniquely fuses Memphis rap with Cantonese folk culture. His breakthrough came with the August 2024 album Stacks from All Sides, which went viral on social media thanks to tracks like "Karma Code" and "Blueprint Supreme," exploring themes of material ambition and personal struggles in modern China. The album's success propelled him to international recognition; by July 7, 2025, he exceeded 3 million monthly Spotify listeners, becoming the most-streamed Chinese artist of that month. Before this, he released his first single in 2020 and experimented with various styles before crafting his signature sound with the 2023 track "Lan Lao King," while studying performing arts in Chengdu. He followed up with the EP Stacks from All Sides: Fresh Off the Boat in July 2025, and in 2026 formed the group 5 Idiots, which released a self-titled mixtape in April. The viral title track notably samples Korean singer Insooni's 1987 hit, and his work is distinguished by a thick Cantonese accent and allusions to coastal Chinese life.
