Journey into Imagination with Figment is a beloved dark ride attraction located in the Imagination! pavilion at Epcot in Walt Disney World, Florida, which originally opened on March 3, 1983. Created by Tony Baxter and Steve Kirk, the ride features the iconic purple dragon Figment (voiced by Billy Barty) and his companion, the Dreamfinder, who collects dreams and ideas in his flying vehicle, the Dream Mobile. The original journey took riders through whimsical rooms representing Art, Literature, the Performing Arts, and Science, all set to the Sherman Brothers' song "One Little Spark". In the final scene, guests' photos are taken as Figment appears on movie screens in various adventurous roles, while Dreamfinder delivers an inspiring message about unlocking the hidden wonders of the world through imagination. As the third and latest incarnation of the attraction, the current version still features Figment and a slightly altered version of the iconic song, keeping the spirit of the original alive for new generations of park visitors.
