Candace Parker (born April 19, 1986), nicknamed "Ace," is a retired American basketball legend widely regarded as one of the greatest WNBA players of all time, having been the first overall pick in the 2008 WNBA draft. Over her career, she won three WNBA championships with three different teams—the Los Angeles Sparks (2016), Chicago Sky (2021), and Las Vegas Aces (2023)—along with two WNBA MVP awards (2008, 2013) and two Olympic gold medals (2008, 2012). She made history as the first woman to dunk in an NCAA tournament game and remains the only player to win both Rookie of the Year and MVP in the same WNBA season (2008). Before turning pro, she led the Tennessee Lady Vols to two consecutive national championships (2007, 2008) and was a two-time national player of the year. After retiring in spring 2024, she became president of Adidas women's basketball, while also serving as a basketball analyst for TNT Sports since 2018. Her legacy was cemented with inductions into both the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame and the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 2026.
