George Holani is a New Zealand-born American football running back for the Seattle Seahawks, of Tongan descent, who moved to Los Angeles as a child. He starred at Boise State, finishing his college career with 3,569 rushing yards and 26 touchdowns, and was named the Mountain West Conference Freshman of the Year in 2019. After going undrafted, he signed with the Seahawks on May 3, 2024, and worked his way from the practice squad to the active roster by December of that year. In the 2025 season, he scored his first NFL touchdown on a kickoff recovery against the Steelers and his first rushing touchdown against the Cardinals, though a hamstring injury placed him on injured reserve in late November. He returned for the playoffs and contributed 13 scrimmage yards in Seattle's 29-13 Super Bowl LX victory over the New England Patriots. Tendered as an exclusive rights free agent in March 2026, Holani comes from a large Tongan family of eleven children, which instilled a strong sense of responsibility in him from a young age.
