Carson Benge is a professional baseball outfielder for the New York Mets, selected 19th overall in the 2024 MLB Draft after a stellar two-way college career at Oklahoma State. Overcoming Tommy John surgery that sidelined him in 2022, he posted a .335 average with 18 home runs in 2024, then signed for $4 million and committed to playing outfield exclusively. In 2025, he dominated the minors—hitting .281 with 15 home runs, 73 RBIs, and 22 stolen bases across three levels—earning the Mets Minor League Player of the Year award. He made his MLB debut on March 26, 2026 with a home run in the Mets' home opener, and later that season delivered a walk-off RBI in May and a five-hit game in June. A Cherokee Nation citizen, he follows his brother Garrett, a 2017 Red Sox draft pick.
