Kyle Trask is an American professional football quarterback who currently plays for the Carolina Panthers, having entered the NFL as a second-round pick for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2021. He gained fame at the University of Florida, where he took over the starting role in 2019 and delivered a record-breaking 2020 season, leading the NCAA with 43 touchdown passes and finishing as a Heisman Trophy finalist. After spending his early pro career as a backup with the Buccaneers—making his NFL debut in 2022—he was released in 2025, briefly joined the Atlanta Falcons practice squad, and signed with the Panthers in 2026. Off the field, Trask is named after Texas A&M's Kyle Field, and his grandfather, Orville Trask, was a defensive captain for the Houston Oilers' AFL championship teams in 1960 and 1961. He married fellow University of Florida alumna McKenzie Liskey in April 2025.
