Deonte Banks (born March 3, 2001, in Baltimore) is a professional football cornerback for the New York Giants. He played college ball at Maryland, overcoming a significant shoulder injury in 2021 and a COVID-shortened 2020 season, before entering the 2023 draft as a top-ranked cornerback prospect. The Giants traded up with the Jaguars to select him 24th overall in the first round, signing him to a four-year, $13.59 million fully guaranteed contract. As a rookie in 2023, he immediately earned a starting spot and made an impact, recording his first career interception against the Commanders in October, adding a second pick against the Patriots in December, and setting a season-high with 12 tackles in Week 14.
