Tigres UANL Femenil, nicknamed Las Amazonas, is a Mexican professional women's football club based in San Nicolás de los Garza, Nuevo León, and serves as the women's section of Tigres UANL. Founded on December 5, 2016, the same day the Liga MX Femenil was announced, the team has become the league's most dominant force, winning a record seven titles—two more than their city rivals, Monterrey. Under the guidance of club legend Osvaldo Batocletti for their inaugural season, Tigres secured their first championship in the Clausura 2018 tournament by defeating Monterrey in a final that set a then-world record for attendance at a women's club match. Subsequent managers, like Ramón Villa Zevallos and Roberto Medina, continued the team's winning tradition, with further league crowns in Clausura 2019 and several more in the early 2020s, cementing their status as a powerhouse in Mexican women's football.
