Bruce Bochy
Bruce Bochy (born April 16, 1955, in France to American parents) is one of baseball's most accomplished managers, having guided three different franchises to the World Series during a legendary career. After playing as a catcher for the Astros, Mets, and Padres, he managed the San Diego Padres (1995–2006), the San Francisco Giants (2007–2019), and the Texas Rangers (2023–2025). He led the Giants to World Series championships in 2010, 2012, and 2014, and in his first season with Texas in 2023, he captured the Rangers' first-ever title — making him one of only three managers to win a championship in both leagues. He is also one of just seven managers to win four or more World Series, ranks sixth all-time in managerial victories, and is the only manager in MLB history to record at least 900 wins with two different teams. Having been born in France, he was the first foreign-born manager to reach the World Series (1998 with San Diego) and the first European-born skipper to win it (2010). His career also includes a 1998 World Series appearance with the Padres, and he is widely celebrated for his mastery of bullpen management and postseason strategy.
