Darnell Mooney (born October 29, 1997) is an American professional football wide receiver who currently plays for the New York Giants, having started his NFL career with the Chicago Bears as a fifth-round draft pick in 2020 out of Tulane. Mooney quickly excelled, setting a franchise rookie reception record (46) in 2020—passing Harlon Hill's mark—and breaking out in 2021 with 81 catches for 1,055 yards. His later years with the Bears were hampered by an ankle injury in 2022 and a concussion in 2023, leading to career-low receiving numbers before he left. In March 2024, he signed a three-year, $39 million contract with the Atlanta Falcons, where he recorded his first multi-touchdown game in a Week 5 matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After being released by Atlanta in March 2026, Mooney signed a one-year, $10 million deal with the New York Giants.
