Atlético Madrileño is the reserve team of the Spanish club Atlético Madrid, founded on 17 September 1963 and currently playing in Primera Federación – Group 2 at the Centro Deportivo Wanda Alcalá de Henares. After evolving through mergers with CD Reyfra and Aviaco Madrileño, it became Atlético Madrid B in 1991 but reverted to its historical name on 1 July 2025. The club has won the Copa de la Liga (Segunda División) in 1982–83 and three Segunda División B titles, and has spent 11 seasons in the second tier. It is famous for developing future stars like David de Gea, Koke, Saúl Ñíguez, Thomas Partey, and Lucas Hernandez, who all graduated to the first team. After playing at the Vicente Calderón and later the Cerro del Espino in Majadahonda (1997–2025), the team moved to its current stadium in June 2025. Despite a rare relegation to the fifth tier in 2020–21, the squad bounced back within two years, showcasing its resilience.
